Boat Security Banner

Banners are an excellent way to advertise your business and to point customers in your direction.  Often, they are used to highlight a specific offer or a special event but what happens when the offer ends or the event is finished?  Is there a way to reuse dated banners?

Banners have come a long way from the days of printed paper or cardboard that had to be used carefully as they fell apart when wet!  The modern banner uses materials such as PVC to ensure they are strong, weatherproof and will keep the colours and visuals perfect after longer term use.  The modern banner is also much easier to use than previous versions because it has welded hems and brass eyelets that makes it easy to hang.

There is virtually no limit to the size of the banner which makes them idea to hang outside the business premises as well as to place in other locations to advertise the business.  Of course, you need permission to hang the banner in a location away from your own premises so don’t forget to ask for this before erecting one.

Banners for special events

Banners are also popular for special events or to highlight special offers.  For example, businesses who are attending a fair or trade event will often use a banner for their stall or to highlight their presence outside the building.  They also can be used at the business premises to let customers know the company will be attending an event.

But what happens when the event has finished and the banner is now dated?  It may seem that there’s no choice but to recycle it in the waste disposal.  However, this doesn’t need to be the case as you can now use self-adhesive vinyls to add to the banner and amend the information.

Self-adhesive vinyl can be added to almost any surface, including the types of materials used in banners.  It uses a permanent adhesive on the rear of the vinyl that bonds permanently to the surface it is applied to, ensuring it will stay in place even if the banner is outside in the rain.  And these vinyls allow you to change the date, the venue or any other information on the existing banner by covering the existing information.

In fact, you can even create a standard banner without dating information on it and use the vinyl to overlap it and make the information event-specific.  That way, the banner will lasts for years and simply requires the printing of the vinyl containing the event or offer information to change the details.

While the growth of the internet has changed advertising forever, there is still a huge importance for physical advertising such as banners and flags.  These allow businesses to connect with local customers and to show there they are located as well as highlighting special offers or events.  And with the use of vinyls, banners don’t need to be thrown away after an event and can be repurposed.
